  1.                Zenker's Diverticulum of the Esophagus
  2. SYMPTOMS. After the first few bites of food it becomes difficult to swallow.
  3. There may be a gurgling noise during drinking and eating and food may be
  4. regurgitated upon bending or lying down.
  5. CAUSES. The diverticulum is an outpouching of the esophagus lining. It
  6. sometimes fills with food, enlarges and causes difficulty in swallowing.
  7. TREATMENT. Surgery may be required for severe difficulty.
  8.
